THE GOOSE ROCK HOTEL occupies one of the finest positions in Cornwall, being situated on beautiful West Pentire headland, one mile beyond the village of Crantock and five miles from Newquay. The hotel is set in two acres of land and commands magnificent uninterrupted views over Crantock Bay, the Goose Rock, and for miles along the coastline The beautiful beaches of Crantock and Porth Joke are easily accessible from the Goose Rock, the closest hotel to the latter, which is completely unspoilt and surrounded by National Trust Land. The coastal footpath passes the hotel and the walks to such local beauty spots as Vugga Cove should not be missed. For evening entertainment, the extensive and varied amusements of Newquay -Cornwall's premier resort -are only five miles away.

West Pentire lies south west of Newquay, and attracts the discerning visitor who enjoys spectacular coastal scenery approached by narrow country lanes adorned with wild flowers, especially the cowslip in this area, farmland, and open commons sloping to the sea.
